This report provides a high-level introduction to state of water quality and ecological condition in the Ōtaki River, Waitohu and Mangone Streams, and Lake Waiorongomai catchment. It outlines the land uses and ‘current state’ (mostly using data to the end of 2022) of water quality and ecology for river and stream environments, and summarises the known state and ecological condition of wetlands, groundwater, and estuaries.
