This report summarises the hydrology and meterology of the 26 May 1998
rainfall event in Wellington City. It gives an overview of the synoptic
weather patterns leading up to the event, quantifies rainfall in terms of total
rainfall, depth duration frequencies and isohyetal analysis, river flow that
followed, and information on the tides at the time.
