This report presents the findings of the first intertidal rocky shore monitoring undertaken in January 2016 at Flat Point in the Wairarapa. The semi-quantitative assessment recorded the abundance and diversity of plants and animals throughout the range of shoreline zones (supratidal to low eulittoral). The results show that Flat Point supports a healthy collection of common rocky shore organisms. Monitoring will be repeated in January 2017.
